I started filming my life more than ten years ago because I had a big idea, a very small sailboat, two kids, almost no idea what I was doing, and a story I desperately wanted to tell.

Somehow, all these years later, I am still doing it.

The boats have gotten bigger. The mistakes have occasionally gotten more expensive. There is now a tiny person following me around calling me Mama. I have sailed thousands of miles, rebuilt boats I probably had no business buying, fallen in love, lost people I loved, started over more times than I care to count, and collected an extraordinary number of stories along the way.

The Daily Show is where those stories have always lived while they are actually happening.

YouTube gets the finished story. Here you get the life around it.

The mornings at anchor. The boat projects. The places we stumble into. What went wrong. What I am worried about. What I am planning next.

The things that never make it into a YouTube episode. And increasingly, the things I find myself thinking about as I get older and my life gets bigger: motherhood, adventure, books, money, fear, relationships, resilience, building a home, and the strange question of what exactly I want to do with this one wild life.

There are more than 1,700 Daily Shows in here, which is wonderful until you are the poor person who just joined and has absolutely no idea where to begin.

I am fixing that.

If you are new, start with Latest Daily Shows to find out where we are and what is happening now. If you want to go backward, head into the Archive, which I am organizing into a proper timeline so you can actually follow the story instead of wandering around lost in twelve years of my life.

And if you have been here for years, you already know the deal.

Pull up a chair.

There is almost certainly something going wrong with a boat somewhere.
